Cognit Vertex Analytics Co., Ltd. was established in 2014. The company still does one kind of work: geospatial analytics for a named piece of Bangkok ground, returned as data visualization you can hold — plates, and a finding that admits its limits.

How the company began

The official registered business name is Cognit Vertex Analytics Co., Ltd. It was registered in Bangkok in 2014, the same year Arun Charoen left contract drawing for road widenings and took a rented room near the Bang Khen market. The first paid sheet was for a family on Ramintra Road who needed the relationship between their parcel, the adjacent khlong, and a planned widening made visible on one piece of cotton paper. Elevations were taken by hand. That sheet is still in the studio archive.

Through 2015 and 2016 the room filled with the same kind of request: households and small builders who did not need a land-office certificate yet, but could not read their own deeds against the lane outside. The company kept the name it was registered under. In 2019 the office moved to its present rooms at 230/7 Ramintra Road, Tha Raeng, Bang Khen. Malee Srisuk joined that year to take the walking half of the work, which Arun had been doing between drawings.

In 2022, after several place studies kept turning on the same water question, the studio began offering a canal and flood reading as its own commission. Parcel comparisons followed in 2023, when architects started sending two sites at once and asking for a single scale. The place study remains the commission we recommend when the question is still wide.

How we work

A study starts from the decision you are facing, not from a catalogue of layers. We walk before we finish a line. Records you supply are listed in the caption. Public district maps are used as context and marked as such. Where a deed edge and the ground disagree, the plate shows the disagreement instead of averaging it into a confident stroke.

We are cartographers and field readers. A licensed surveyor and the land office remain the path for a boundary certificate. Architects and engineers remain the path for anything that will be built. Our role is the reading that helps you brief those people, or decide you do not need to yet.

Arun Charoen — principal cartographer. He trained in surveying at a Bangkok vocational college, then spent years drawing road-widening sheets for contractors before the company was registered in 2014. He leads every place study and signs the finding.

Malee Srisuk — field reader since 2019. She walks banks and sois, keeps the weather book, and writes neighbor accounts only when people know they are being noted. Her postponement notes are part of the job, not an apology attached later.

What we hold to

Walk before the last line. Name the limit of a sheet on the sheet itself. Keep a client’s question on the first page of the finding so the drawing cannot drift into a general essay about the district. Decline work whose aim is to conceal a dispute from the other party. Stay inside Greater Bangkok unless travel is priced openly.
